• We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Developer Advocate with a specialization in Android development to join our dynamic and expanding global team. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of developers utilizing RevenueCat for their in-app subscription needs. You will collaborate closely with our existing Developer Advocate team, which is distributed across the US, Finland, and South Korea. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging, technically accurate written educational content specifically tailored for Android developers. Furthermore, you will possess the ability to translate this written content into compelling video formats, significantly enhancing our educational outreach and developer engagement.
• Your contributions will be instrumental in educating current RevenueCat users, attracting new developers through valuable technical content, and solidifying RevenueCat's position as the definitive resource for in-app purchase implementation across all mobile platforms. You will be a key voice in the Android developer community, sharing insights and best practices.
• What you’ll be responsible for:
• **Content Creation Excellence:** Spearhead the creation of high-quality, technically deep, and engaging content focused on mobile app monetization and in-app purchase strategies. This includes content that highlights the benefits and implementation of RevenueCat, as well as exploring alternative approaches and architectural patterns to provide a comprehensive understanding for developers.
• **Technical Writing & Blogging:** Develop insightful blog posts and articles covering a wide range of topics relevant to Android developers. Examples include practical guides like "Getting started: Monetize your Kotlin app with RevenueCat," in-depth explorations of architectural patterns such as "Architectural patterns for building a high performance onboarding flow with Jetpack Compose," and strategic content like "How to build an affiliate campaign to scale your mobile app with RevenueCat." You will also create content around specific tools, such as "Use the RevenueCat MCP with Android Studio to rapidly set up in-app purchases in your Android app."
• **Video Production & Multimedia:** Translate written content into engaging video tutorials, demonstrations, and explainer videos. Collaborate on live streaming sessions to provide real-time assistance, answer developer questions, and showcase RevenueCat's capabilities.
• **Community Engagement & Public Speaking:** Represent RevenueCat at industry conferences, developer meetups, webinars, and other events. Deliver insightful presentations, share expertise on mobile monetization, and actively engage with the developer community.
• **Event Organization & Judging:** Organize and potentially judge hackathons, app competitions, and developer challenges, fostering innovation and providing opportunities for developers to showcase their skills and build with RevenueCat.
• **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to develop comprehensive resources, documentation, and educational materials that support developers throughout their journey with RevenueCat.
• **Developer Support & Education:** Actively engage with developers to understand their challenges, provide guidance, and help them leverage RevenueCat to achieve their monetization goals and overcome technical hurdles.
• **Content Strategy Contribution:** Collaborate with the Developer Advocate lead to refine and execute a content strategy that aligns with RevenueCat's objectives and plays to your unique strengths and expertise.
• **Documentation Enhancement:** Identify gaps in existing documentation and educational resources, and proactively create content to fill these needs, ensuring a seamless learning experience for all developers.
• **Content Repurposing:** Innovate in how existing content is leveraged, transforming blog posts into video series, webinars into articles, and vice versa, to maximize reach and impact across various platforms.
• **Thought Leadership:** Establish yourself as a recognized authority in Android monetization and in-app subscriptions, becoming synonymous with RevenueCat's expertise in the developer community.
• **Initiative Development:** Propose and lead new, creative initiatives to engage developers, drawing inspiration from successful past programs like "Shipaton" or unique community engagement efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in Android app development, with a strong preference for experience with subscription-based applications, gained through team projects or independent indie development.
• Proven track record of creating high-quality technical content (written or video) specifically designed to educate developers on complex topics.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently perform live, whether on a conference stage or in a virtual setting.
• A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and empowering developers to achieve their goals.
