📋 Description

• As a Senior Developer, Fullstack at Koho Financial Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to financially empower Canadians by building seamless, secure, and scalable financial products that eliminate hidden fees and predatory practices, directly contributing to users’ ability to spend wisely, save more, and build lasting wealth.
• You will design and build scalable backend services in Go, working with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, implementing event-driven architectures with RabbitMQ, and owning production systems end-to-end, ensuring high performance, reliability, and observability under real-world load.
• You will build exceptional user experiences across Koho’s mobile app (Angular/Ionic), web app (React), and admin tools, translating complex financial logic into intuitive, accessible interfaces that serve diverse user needs.
• You will own the full implementation of features from database schema design and API development to corresponding UI changes, eliminating handoffs between teams and shipping complete, cohesive solutions that accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• You will bring new patterns and tools to your team across both frontend and backend, introducing modern React patterns, Go service architecture best practices, and innovative approaches to distributed systems, caching, and observability that elevate team capability.
• You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers in a remote-first, async-friendly environment that values autonomy, trust, and outcomes over hours logged, enabling you to do your best work while maintaining sustainable work-life integration.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep backend expertise in Go, PostgreSQL, and AWS with a proven track record of building production systems that scale and perform under load
• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript fundamentals and motivation to develop frontend skills with React and Angular
• Experience with distributed systems concepts including event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ), caching, and observability to build resilient, monitored services
• Strong collaboration and growth mindset, with comfort working outside your comfort zone and helping others develop their skills
• Ability to own end-to-end feature delivery from database to UI, eliminating handoffs and shipping complete solutions autonomously
