• • Architect the future of retirement-services infrastructure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will own the roadmap for migrating 240 billion dollars of assets under management from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions, creating a self-service platform that lets 30+ engineering teams deploy in minutes instead of days.
• • Build golden-path pipelines. Design reusable GitHub Actions workflows, Terraform modules, and container blueprints that enforce security, cost, and performance guardrails while still giving developers the freedom to innovate.
• • Modernize legacy workloads. Containerize Windows-based monoliths that still depend on Active Directory, SSRS, and SSIS; move them to AKS with zero downtime and measurable latency improvements.
• • Scale with intent. Implement auto-scaling policies for stateless and stateful services, leveraging Azure VM Scale Sets, KEDA, and custom metrics so that traffic spikes from quarterly retirement-plan re-enrollments never degrade client experience.
• • Champion observability. Instrument every layer of the stack with OpenTelemetry, wire traces into Jaeger, surface golden signals in Grafana, and define SLOs that map directly to client SLAs.
• • Secure by design. Integrate SAST, DAST, and container image scanning into every pull request; roll out canary and blue-green deployments so security patches reach production without customer impact.
• • Empower engineers. Create internal developer portals, CLI tools, and Slack bots that answer “How do I…?” before it’s asked; write runbooks and record Loom videos that turn tribal knowledge into shared knowledge.
• • Drive incident resilience. Establish on-call rotations, blameless post-mortems, and chaos-engineering game days that reduce MTTR and build a culture of continuous improvement.
• • Optimize cost and performance. Profile .NET and SQL workloads, right-size Kubernetes requests/limits, and negotiate reserved-instance commitments that save six figures annually.
• • Collaborate across the business. Partner with compliance, security, and client-service teams to translate regulatory requirements into automated controls, ensuring Great Gray remains the most trusted name in retirement services.
