• • EverOps Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic, U.S.-based Virtual Operating Center. As a premier Embedded Service Provider, EverOps partners with leading global enterprise software and tech companies, embedding our engineering talent directly into their development environments to tackle complex delivery and service challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple customer Azure cloud environments, providing operational support, project deployments, and strategic infrastructure management.
• • In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability and scalability of our clients' production Azure environments. You will leverage your deep understanding of enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure to autonomously manage projects, requiring minimal direction. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential in fostering client satisfaction and driving successful outcomes.

• • Your primary responsibilities will include developing and effectively utilizing automation tools to rapidly operate, manage, and scale both production and development environments within Azure. This involves designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on Azure DevOps Pipelines and multi-stage YAML configurations for both infrastructure and application deployments.
• • You will be responsible for authoring and maintaining Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, primarily through Bicep templates and Terraform modules. This ensures consistency, repeatability, and manageability of cloud resources.
• • Active participation in regular customer and internal EverOps scrums is expected, facilitating clear communication and alignment on project status, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
• • Monitoring Azure environments is a critical aspect of this role. You will utilize native Azure tooling (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics) and potentially third-party platforms (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana) to ensure optimal performance, identify potential issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• • You will be tasked with implementing new Azure services and technologies as customer requirements evolve, staying ahead of the curve and proactively identifying solutions that enhance client operations.
• • Designing and executing new solutions, as well as continuously improving existing ones, will be a key part of your contribution. This requires a proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking ways to optimize and enhance the client's cloud infrastructure.
• • Providing essential operational support and executing project deployments for our diverse customer environments will be a core function, ensuring seamless transitions and reliable service delivery.
• • This role demands a deep, hands-on understanding of Linux operating systems and proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language such as Golang, Python, Bash, TypeScript, or PowerShell. Your expertise in designing, building, and running highly-available, cloud-native environments on Microsoft Azure will be paramount.
• • A strong command of Azure DevOps, including its various components like Boards, Repos, Pipelines (with a focus on multi-stage YAML), Artifacts, and Test Plans, is essential for managing the software development lifecycle effectively.
• • You will have extensive experience authoring Azure Bicep templates for infrastructure deployments, including the creation of reusable modules, parameter files, and understanding deployment scopes. Complementing this, a solid grasp of Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform on Azure (using the azurerm provider) and/or Bicep is required.
• • Familiarity and practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker are necessary for modern application deployment strategies.
• • Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana is crucial for maintaining system health and performance.
• • Knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure SQL Managed Instance or Microsoft SQL Server, will be beneficial for supporting clients with database infrastructure needs.
• • A fundamental understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity concepts, encompassing Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Key Vault, is vital for securing and managing cloud resources effectively.
