  • • This pivotal role is centered on shaping and elevating Butternut's brand presence across critical digital touchpoints, with a primary focus on CRM and email communications for millions of dog parents across our international markets.
  • • You will be instrumental in bringing our exciting new brand refresh to life, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across all customer segments: leads, existing customers, and paused customers.
  • • Collaborate closely with talented designers and copywriters, working in tandem with marketing and product teams to produce beautifully crafted, effective, and scalable customer communications that drive both engagement and conversion.
  • • As a specialist senior designer, you will play a key part in defining how Butternut shows up across CRM and our wider digital ecosystem, fostering brand love and delivering tangible results.
  • • Your responsibilities will span the entire customer lifecycle, designing high-quality email creative that balances compelling brand storytelling with essential clarity, usability, and performance metrics.
  • • You will be a key partner to CRM managers and copywriters, guiding the creative process from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring creative responses align perfectly with campaign goals and commercial objectives.
  • • A crucial aspect of this role involves challenging the status quo by critically interrogating briefs, asking insightful questions, and advocating for clearer objectives to maximize the impact of creative work.
  • • You will act as a brand guardian for email communications, meticulously embedding and championing Butternut’s refreshed brand identity across all CRM touchpoints, ensuring a consistent look, feel, and tone.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will be building and evolving global design systems, templates, and modules that enhance operational speed, maintain high quality, and support global scalability.
  • • Forge strong partnerships with the CRM team, taking co-responsibility for email performance and acting as a commercial stakeholder, with a keen eye on key metrics such as Click-Through Rate (CTR) and conversion rates.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities and design A/B tests and creative hypotheses to unlock growth and optimize performance across the entire customer funnel.
  • • Leverage performance insights and data analytics to inform and iterate on future creative decisions, driving continuous improvement in design effectiveness.
  • • Engage cross-functionally with marketing, product, and regional teams to ensure seamless delivery of CRM creative across multiple international markets.
  • • Maintain a proactive interest in CRM roadmaps and strategic goals, ensuring all creative endeavors directly support broader commercial priorities.
  • • Deliver high-quality design work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative and high-performing Creative Studio culture.
  • • Share your expertise, elevate the standard of CRM design craft within the team, and provide support and mentorship to junior designers.
  • • Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and organizational prowess.
  • • Contribute to the development of other digital touchpoints, including paid social static creatives, TikTok creatives, web advertisements, and landing page visuals, broadening your creative impact.
