Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect the future of digital engagement for a global ministry that is releasing more than two million children from poverty in Jesus’ name. As Senior Digital Experience Specialist (Data Engineer) you will own the data backbone that powers every click, swipe, and story across Compassion’s omni-channel ecosystem—web, mobile, email, paid media, and emerging platforms—turning raw interaction data into life-changing supporter journeys.
- • Translate ministry objectives into measurable digital KPIs. You will design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and model multi-terabyte datasets from Google Ads, Facebook, Microsoft Ads, Adobe Analytics, CRM, email, and offline channels. The result: a single source of truth that fuels real-time dashboards, predictive models, and automated decisioning that move a casual site visitor to a committed child sponsor.
- • Spearhead advanced experimentation. Build and manage A/B, multivariate, and hold-out test frameworks that run across web, app, and paid media. You will determine statistical rigor, calculate required sample sizes, and surface winning variants that lift conversion, retention, and lifetime value—then socialize insights so that every campaign is smarter than the last.
- • Craft neighbor-specific digital experiences. Partner with Experience Design, Fundraising, Technology, and Operations teams to map persona-based journeys and translate them into data requirements. Your audience models and propensity scores will trigger dynamic content, personalized asks, and automated nurture streams that make every supporter feel uniquely seen and valued.
- • Serve as the go-to authority on martech and ad-tech stacks. Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools such as Google Analytics 4, BigQuery, Looker, Segment, Tealium, or equivalent CDPs. You will write complex SQL, Python, or dbt transformations, configure server-side tagging, and ensure privacy-compliant data governance (GDPR, CCPA, child-protection standards).
- • Drive continuous optimization through insight storytelling. Build executive-level dashboards and self-service reports that reveal funnel leaks, media mix efficiency, and lifetime value trends. Present findings in plain language to non-technical stakeholders, translating numbers into actionable next steps that protect children and grow revenue.
- • Mentor and elevate the team. Coach junior analysts and cross-functional partners on data best practices, experimentation culture, and Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors. You may directly manage contractors or vendors, ensuring deliverables meet enterprise-grade quality and security standards.
- • Champion child protection in every data decision. Uphold Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection by anonymizing sensitive data, enforcing least-privilege access, and immediately escalating any concerns through the internal reporting process. Your vigilance ensures that every byte serves children safely.
- • Stay ahead of the curve. Scan the horizon for emerging trends—server-side tracking, cookieless measurement, AI-driven personalization—and pilot innovations that keep Compassion at the forefront of ethical, high-impact digital ministry.
- • Pray, worship, and grow. Participate in chapel, prayer groups, and devotionals, modeling a Christ-centered attitude that inspires colleagues and glorifies God in every dashboard, test result, and optimization win.
