  • • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing North American advertising sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve ambitious commercial targets.
  • • Own and expand KAYAK’s North American advertising revenue by setting strategic goals, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring team execution against key performance indicators.
  • • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with advertising partners, agencies, and travel brands to drive retention, upsell, and new business acquisition.
  • • Collaborate with product, marketing, and commercial partnerships teams to design and refine data-informed advertising solutions that align with partner needs and market demands.
  • • Analyze performance data and market trends to uncover insights, optimize advertising strategies, and communicate results clearly to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • • Represent KAYAK as an external ambassador at industry events, partner meetings, and business reviews, showcasing the value and innovation of KAYAK’s advertising offerings.
  • • Align ad sales initiatives with the broader NORAM commercial strategy by working cross-functionally with regional teams to ensure cohesive execution and shared objectives.
  • • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and people-first team culture that supports professional growth, well-being, and high performance.
  • • Drive innovation in advertising products by leveraging customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and performance metrics to inform product development and positioning.
  • • Communicate effectively with both external clients and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and responsiveness across all levels of the organization.
  • • Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving digital advertising environment where priorities shift rapidly and cross-team collaboration is critical to success.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic buying, DSPs, SSPs, ad formats, and performance metrics in a travel and media context.
  • • Contribute to KAYAK’s mission of making travel discovery easier by ensuring advertising solutions enhance, rather than detract from, the user experience.
  • • Commit to KAYAK’s values of inclusion, innovation, and customer-centricity by promoting diversity of thought and equitable opportunities within the team.
  • • Attend the Cambridge, MA office three times per week to support team cohesion, collaboration, and leadership presence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Demonstrated experience in digital advertising sales, including leading and developing a sales team toward shared revenue goals
  • • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and evolving industry trends
  • • A track record of building and growing advertiser or agency relationships, ideally in a travel, media, or technology environment
  • • The ability to use data to understand performance, identify opportunities, and tell a clear story to partners and internal stakeholders
  • • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with comfort engaging both external partners and internal cross-functional collaborators
  • • Experience working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and cross-team collaboration is essential
