- • You will serve as a trusted advisor to Gartner's Business & Technology Insights (BTI) clients, guiding them through complex challenges related to the selection, deployment, and operational management of critical IAM solutions.
- • Your expertise will be delivered through a variety of high-impact channels, including published research reports, direct client inquiries via phone and video conference, presentations at Gartner events, and in-person client meetings.
- • A key aspect of this role is possessing a clear and forward-thinking vision for the future of IAM within the digital enterprise, anticipating trends and their implications for businesses.
- • You will be expected to demonstrate extensive experience in the practical application of IAM technologies, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools and Consumer IAM solutions, alongside a comprehensive understanding of the broader IAM marketplace and its key players.
- • Your daily responsibilities will include engaging directly with clients to help them solve intricate security issues, leveraging your deep knowledge to provide actionable guidance.
- • You will conduct in-depth research and analysis across various IAM technologies and services, staying ahead of market developments and emerging best practices.
- • Providing strategic guidance to clients on selecting, implementing, and operating IAM technologies and services in both on-premises and cloud environments will be a core function.

- • Responding to client inquiries, preparing tailored materials, and delivering presentations via teleconference, video conference, webinar, or in-person events are integral to the role.
- • Maintaining Gartner's esteemed industry leadership reputation will also involve responding to press inquiries, further solidifying your position as a recognized expert.
- • You will be expected to possess a deep understanding of specific IAM coverage areas such as Authentication, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Externalized Authorization Management (EAM), Access Management (AM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Verification.
- • Expertise in best practices for IAM technology selection, procurement, implementation, operations, and governance is crucial.
- • Familiarity with IAM program management and governance, including strategic planning, talent management, policy development, controls, operational processes, and program maturity assessment, is highly valued.
- • An understanding of modern digital identity approaches, such as Identity Wallets, Decentralized Identity (DCI), and Bring Your Own Identity (BYOI), will be beneficial.
- • The ability to apply conceptual models, recognize patterns, and draw well-defended conclusions through demonstrated analytical skills is a fundamental requirement.
- • Articulate and succinct communication skills are essential, with experience in public speaking engagements being a significant advantage.
- • This role requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in a research or technology-related field, coupled with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
