  • • As the Senior Director of Data Science for Clinical Performance at Pearl Health, you will assume a critical leadership position, directly influencing the company's mission to revolutionize healthcare delivery and compensation. Reporting to the Chief Data Science Officer, your primary responsibility will be to architect the quantitative frameworks that define and measure our clinical impact, establishing the rigorous methodologies that demonstrate the transformative value of Pearl's patient care enablement.
  • • This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead a multi-year research agenda for a rapidly growing startup dedicated to reshaping the healthcare landscape. You will not only lead a team but also establish the definitive technical "source of truth" for how clinical interventions translate into improved population health outcomes and enhanced financial sustainability. This intelligence will be instrumental in guiding company strategy, shaping product development, and forming the foundation of our partnerships with health systems and physician-led networks nationwide.
  • • We are actively seeking a visionary leader who excels at the confluence of profound technical expertise and executive-level influence. You should be equally adept at guiding your team through intricate causal inference studies or risk-adjustment model development as you are at presenting these findings to the C-suite, translating complex data into a compelling strategic vision. If you possess a deep passion for leveraging data to rectify systemic issues in healthcare and the drive to build scalable, automated intelligence from the ground up, this is your chance to make a lasting impact on the future of primary care.
  • • Pearl Health is committed to empowering primary care providers, health systems, and physician-led networks to thrive in the evolving landscape of value-based care. Our innovative platform provides the essential technology, financial tools, and expert services that enable practices to deliver more proactive and effective care to their Medicare patients, ultimately leading to reduced costs and improved health outcomes.
  • • Founded in 2020, Pearl Health is a dynamic team of healthcare and technology innovators, supported by prominent investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Viking Global Investors, and AlleyCorp. We proudly partner with thousands of providers across 44 states, collectively working towards a more sustainable future for American healthcare.
  • • In this Senior Director role, you will lead a high-caliber team of data scientists in developing scalable, automated intelligence solutions designed to support providers in value-based care and advance Pearl’s clinical performance strategy.
  • • Key responsibilities include owning the scientific methodology by defining and directing research frameworks and model architectures for clinical risk identification and value attribution. You will be accountable for establishing the technical systems that precisely quantify Pearl’s clinical impact.
  • • You will architect a comprehensive multi-year roadmap for clinical performance research, proactively addressing the evolving demands of value-based care and Medicare Advantage.
  • • Serve as a primary consultant to the management team, leveraging data-driven insights to shape product direction, operational strategies, and enterprise-level decision-making.
  • • Translate complex technical study designs and statistical findings into clear, persuasive strategic narratives for executive leadership. You will also represent Pearl Health’s scientific expertise through presentations at industry conferences and contributions to peer-reviewed publications.
  • • Foster a culture of high trust, continuous feedback, and technical excellence while growing and mentoring an elite team of data scientists.
  • • Drive the enhancement of Pearl’s predictive product capabilities, significantly improving the precision and explainability of our clinical models to deliver deeper, more actionable insights to our users.
  • • This role requires a leader who can integrate predictive product capabilities, ensuring our clinical models are not only precise but also highly explainable, thereby providing users with more profound and actionable insights.
  • • You will be instrumental in enhancing the predictive power of our products, ensuring that the clinical models we develop are robust, accurate, and easily interpretable by our diverse user base.
  • • The Senior Director will champion the development of advanced analytical techniques to uncover novel insights into clinical performance, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • • This position demands a strategic thinker capable of anticipating future trends in healthcare data science and proactively developing solutions to meet emerging challenges.
  • • You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's intellectual property in the data science domain, ensuring our methodologies and findings are at the forefront of the industry.
  • • The successful candidate will foster a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-functional partnerships to ensure data science initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives and product roadmaps.
  • • Ultimately, this role is about building and scaling data-driven capabilities that directly contribute to Pearl Health's mission of improving patient outcomes and financial viability for healthcare providers.
