📋 Description

• As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at UiPath, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading the development of cutting-edge, ML-first, multi-tenant products and agentic solutions within our dynamic Supply Chain and Retail team (Peak).
• Your mission is to fundamentally reimagine and rearchitect critical manufacturing and retail business processes by leveraging data-driven predictions, advanced decision-making capabilities, and intelligent automation.
• You will be instrumental in shaping the future of enterprise software, driving transformative business impact for our customers through scalable and sophisticated solutions.
• This pivotal role requires you to manage and inspire multi-disciplinary engineer squads and engineering managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• You will collaborate extensively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including product managers, applied scientists, and forward-deployed scientists/engineers, ensuring seamless integration and successful deployment of our products.
• A key aspect of your role will be to build, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering team, comprising approximately 75 engineers and applied scientists.
• You will cultivate an environment that champions innovation, instills customer obsession, and upholds the highest standards of technical excellence.
• Effective collaboration across multiple vertically aligned engineering teams, product managers, and solutions architects will be crucial for the successful development and widespread adoption of the products and solutions under your purview.
• You will act as a vital bridge between our engineering teams and the customer-facing functions, partnering closely with Forward Deployment Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Account Managers.
• Your insights will be critical in understanding intricate customer challenges and translating them into robust, scalable engineering solutions that address real-world business needs.
• Working in tandem with the People and Talent team, you will play a significant role in attracting, recruiting, and retaining top-tier talent, ensuring alignment with the ambitious vision of the Peak product.
• You will be responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end development lifecycle of sophisticated agentic solutions, AI agents, and ML products, with a specific focus on the domains of pricing and inventory management.
• A forward-thinking approach will be expected as you drive the adoption and effective utilization of leading agentic coding tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, across your engineering squads.
• Your leadership in this area will modernize workflows, significantly boost team productivity, and elevate overall code quality.
• You will establish and enforce engineering best practices for the deployment of AI models as integral components of our software.
• This includes ensuring exceptional system reliability, operational excellence, and unwavering compliance with stringent security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• You will take the lead in analyzing complex technical issues, evaluating critical technology choices, and effectively communicating these insights to both your team and broader stakeholders.
• Your ability to articulate technical concepts clearly, both in written and verbal forms, will be essential for driving consensus and making informed decisions.
• You will be empowered to incubate new ideas, explore innovative approaches, and create a clear, actionable roadmap for your areas of responsibility.
• Ultimately, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of software that consistently meets and exceeds all requirements for quality, security, scalability, extensibility, and testability.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record (10+ years' experience) of architecting and hands-on engineering world-class commercial applications.
• Proven track record of architecting and developing ML or Agentic commercial products (not platform).
• Experienced architecting scalable multi-tenant architecture on cloud using container orchestration with vanilla or Kubernetes-based solutions.
• Ability to work with a globally distributed team.
• Ability to work closely with customers to develop initial POCs and convert POCs to Product when needed.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and strong software fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one area of AI (Preferably in LLM/NLP or Classical ML).
