- ⢠Lead the development and execution of payer-facing commercial strategies to ensure broad and sustainable access for Amgenâs products across health plans, PBMs, IDNs, Medicaid, Medicare, and employer groups.
- ⢠Own and evolve the payer marketing strategy in alignment with brand objectives, access goals, and corporate priorities across Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease therapeutic areas.
- ⢠Develop differentiated payer value propositions and messaging tailored to key customer segments, translating clinical, economic, and real-world evidence into compelling narratives for payer decision-makers.
- ⢠Manage and mentor a high-performing payer marketing team, setting clear goals, development plans, and operating rhythms to drive team effectiveness and growth.
- ⢠Establish and lead payer/customer insight generation through primary and secondary research, advisory boards, and competitive monitoring to inform strategy and tactics.
- ⢠Identify access barriers and leverage points, translating insights into measurable marketing objectives and actionable tactics to improve coverage and reimbursement outcomes.
- ⢠Lead creation and governance of payer-facing materials including payer value decks, formulary kits, AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, cost calculators, clinical and economic evidence summaries, P&T committee tools, and account-specific customization frameworks.
- ⢠Ensure all payer materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) guidelines and industry codes of conduct.
- ⢠Design and execute account-based marketing (ABM) approaches for priority payers, enabling field teams with tailored messaging, content, and engagement tools.
- ⢠Orchestrate omnichannel payer engagement campaigns across field enablement, email, webinars, thought leadership, congress participation, digital channels, and partner ecosystems.
- ⢠Collaborate closely with Market Access, HEOR/Medical, Pricing & Contracting, Product Marketing, Sales, VA Insights, and Patient Access & Reimbursement teams to ensure alignment on messaging, evidence translation, and access pathways.
- ⢠Partner with Pricing & Contracting Strategy to align marketing narratives with contracting objectives and access pathways.
- ⢠Work with HEOR/Medical to translate evidence plans into customer-ready value stories and with Trade/Distribution to support specialty pharmacy and channel strategies.
- ⢠Contribute to launch readiness and lifecycle planning from a payer and customer perspective, ensuring payer strategies are integrated into overall product commercialization plans.
- ⢠Own the payer marketing budget, allocating resources to highest-impact initiatives and optimizing spend across internal and external partners.
- ⢠Manage external agencies, research firms, model vendors, and design/content teams with clear briefs, timelines, and performance expectations to deliver high-quality payer assets and programs.
- ⢠Serve as the commercial âvoice of payerâ within Amgen, bringing forward payer insights, market trends, and competitive implications to influence cross-functional decision-making.
- ⢠Maintain high standards of operational excellence, stakeholder management, and compliance-minded judgment in all payer marketing activities.

- ⢠Doctorate degree and 5 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health
- ⢠OR Masterâs degree and 9 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health
- ⢠OR Bachelorâs degree and 11 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health
- ⢠Experience with AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, value frameworks, and outcomes-based contracting narratives
- ⢠Strong analytical fluency in claims/coverage data, patient journey analytics, and contracting/access metrics
- ⢠Proven experience leading omnichannel payer engagement programs and cross-functional teams in biopharma
