- • Provide strategic leadership and direct oversight to pharmacists-in-charge (PICs) across multiple pharmacy facilities within the organization.
- • Establish and implement the strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures for the pharmacy program aligned with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
- • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with internal policies and external governing bodies, including state and federal regulatory requirements.
- • Manage and analyze operating costs for pharmacy functions at both corporate and health plan levels, and participate in the development and execution of annual budgets.
- • Lead performance management for PICs and pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to quality metrics, compliance standards, and employee development goals.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve processes related to pharmacy audits, communications, and network pricing.
- • Oversee the development, delivery, and coordination of pharmacy-related education, orientation, and training programs for providers within the pharmacy network.
- • Maintain and enforce standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and regulatory compliance across all managed pharmacy locations.
- • Serve as the primary point of accountability for pharmacy operational performance, including quality outcomes, efficiency metrics, and regulatory readiness.
- • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy service delivery, member outcomes, and cost-effectiveness across the organization.
- • Interpret and apply evolving healthcare regulations and industry best practices to guide pharmacy operations and policy updates.
- • Partner with clinical, finance, and network management teams to align pharmacy strategies with broader health plan objectives and member care goals.
- • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to pharmacy utilization, cost containment, and compliance.
- • Ensure all pharmacy staff are properly licensed, trained, and supported to meet operational and regulatory expectations.
- • Represent the pharmacy operations function in internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
