  • • Senior Director, Turnaround and Restructuring role at Ankura Consulting Group, LLC, supporting the Turnaround & Restructuring practice focused on client delivery services across the firm.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing project work streams, analyzing financial statements and operational data, developing integrated financial models (cash-flow forecasts, restructuring scenarios, recovery analyses), executing restructuring plans (debt restructuring, refinancing, cost-optimization), preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders, supporting negotiations with creditors and investors, assessing business plans and turnaround strategies, monitoring performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams (legal, operations, corporate finance), mentoring junior team members, building client relationships, and engaging in business development through client interactions and industry events.
  • • Ankura is a global firm founded on innovation and growth, with an EMEA Turnaround & Restructuring practice launched in 2021, comprising senior practitioners from industry-leading firms, complementing 300+ restructuring professionals globally and 2,000+ professionals across the wider Ankura business, with ambitious growth aspirations.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Extensive work experience in Financial Restructuring, financial analysis, corporate finance, and restructuring concepts
  • • Degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering, and/or financial qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA) preferable but not essential
  • • Strong quantitative, financial, analytical, and modelling skills
  • • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders in transformation/restructuring initiatives
  • • Experience developing business plans, financial projections, identifying/implementing restructuring solutions, and valuation theory/methodologies
  • • Experience managing client/stakeholder relationships and networking within client organizations
  • • Strong work ethic, collaborative team player with positive attitude, high ethical standards, and commitment to inclusivity
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English (additional language advantageous), strong presence and leadership skills
  • • Powerful interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to partner with executive management
  • • Relevant experience in Big 4, investment banking, restructuring consultancy, or relevant industry highly beneficial
  • • Willingness to travel nationally/internationally and work overtime as needed
  • • Fluency in both German and English is essential due to client work nature
