- • Senior Disability Claims Examiner (LTD) role focused on managing Long-Term Disability claims with a virtual work option, serving as a key contributor to Prudential’s Group Insurance Business by ensuring accurate, timely, and empathetic claim resolutions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a caseload of 95–100 LTD claims, reviewing medical records, conducting financial calculations, communicating with claimants and stakeholders via phone/email/text, applying policy provisions to determine eligibility, and supporting return-to-work initiatives through collaboration with medical and vocational experts.
- • Part of Prudential’s Long-Term Disability Claims team within Group Insurance Business, with teams based in New Jersey, Maine, Arizona, and fully remote; operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment emphasizing customer experience, technical accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- • Opportunity to develop deep expertise in disability claims adjudication, regulatory compliance, contract interpretation, and risk management while mentoring junior staff and contributing to process improvements in a nationally recognized financial services leader.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in Long Term Disability Claim Management required
- • Strong written and oral communication skills, with preference for bilingual verbal communication in Spanish and English
- • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple changing priorities
- • Demonstrated analytical and math skills, including ability to analyze contract information and exercise critical thinking and sound judgment
- • Proficiency with PC-based programs such as Excel and Word, and ability to operate within multiple claim systems
