📋 Description

• Senior Distributed Systems Engineer / Architect role at RapidFort, a Series A cybersecurity company building next-generation container and software supply-chain security solutions for enterprises and U.S. government agencies.
• Design and implement scalable distributed systems that handle heavy CPU, disk, and network workloads; develop distributed algorithms and data processing pipelines; optimize workloads for maximum efficiency and minimal resource waste.
• Work at a cybersecurity innovator backed by $42M in funding, serving DoD and U.S. federal customers, requiring U.S. citizenship due to government contracts.
• Build instrumentation, metrics, and telemetry to measure system performance; develop dashboards and analysis workflows; use empirical data and experimentation to continuously improve system behavior and reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience building distributed systems or large-scale backend infrastructure
• Deep understanding of systems performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O, networking)
• Strong Python development skills and strong Bash / shell scripting ability
• Experience with parallel processing, distributed job execution, or large data pipelines
• Strong data-driven mindset with focus on measurement, experimentation, and building observability and instrumentation

• Base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000
