• • CloudZero is seeking a visionary Senior Documentation Architect to spearhead the evolution and management of our entire documentation ecosystem. This pivotal role is designed for a senior individual contributor who possesses a unique blend of expertise in documentation architecture, strategic content planning, the implementation of AI-enabled workflows, and the capability for selective hands-on content creation. While you will contribute directly to documentation content when the need arises, your primary mandate will be to architect, design, and operate scalable systems. This includes defining rigorous standards, selecting and implementing optimal tooling, and establishing AI-driven pipelines that ensure our documentation remains not only accurate and consistent but also perfectly synchronized with our rapidly evolving product as CloudZero continues its growth trajectory.
• • Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this position is ideally suited for an individual with profound experience in documentation, exceptional technical judgment, and a robust systems-thinking approach. It offers a significant opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to expand into Staff or Principal-level responsibilities as business requirements evolve and grow.
• • Your core responsibilities will encompass owning the overarching architecture and strategic vision for CloudZero's documentation. This includes meticulously defining the information structure, developing sophisticated content models, establishing clear standards, and implementing effective governance frameworks to ensure quality and maintainability across all documentation assets.
• • You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and continuously maintaining advanced AI-driven documentation pipelines. These pipelines will serve to streamline and enhance various aspects of content management, including accelerating content creation, ensuring timely updates, validating accuracy, and maintaining unwavering consistency across the documentation suite.
• • A key aspect of your role will be to establish and rigorously enforce comprehensive documentation standards. This will cover critical elements such as tone of voice, structural integrity, precise terminology, and overall brand voice, ensuring a cohesive and professional presentation across all developer marketing and technical operator content.
• • While the focus is on systems and strategy, you will also contribute directly to documentation content when necessary. This hands-on involvement will be particularly crucial for documenting new features, significant architectural changes, or other high-impact areas, ensuring that critical information is captured accurately without relying solely on you as the subject matter expert.
• • You will foster close partnerships with product managers and engineers, working collaboratively to seamlessly integrate documentation updates into the existing product development and release workflows. This ensures that documentation keeps pace with product innovation.
• • Collaboration will extend to support, sales engineering, and Technical Account Manager (TAM) teams. By actively engaging with these groups, you will incorporate real-world customer needs, valuable feedback, and observed usage patterns directly into the documentation, making it more relevant and user-centric.
• • A critical responsibility is to ensure that the documentation accurately and comprehensively reflects CloudZero's core domains, including data infrastructure, cloud cost management, and the intricate concepts of FinOps.
• • You will take full ownership of the documentation tooling and infrastructure. This includes managing Content Management System (CMS) platforms, optimizing git-based workflows, and developing or integrating automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• • Defining and implementing robust AI quality controls is paramount. This involves establishing protocols for hallucination detection, enforcing citation accuracy, and designing effective human review workflows to maintain the integrity and reliability of AI-generated or assisted content.
• • Continuous improvement will be driven by defining and tracking key metrics, establishing feedback loops with users and internal teams, and iteratively enhancing tooling and processes to elevate documentation quality over time.
