• • Assign daily and long-term story coverage, ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging output across sports, pop culture, news, and politics
• • Review, approve, and reject content pitches from reporters and editors, maintaining editorial standards and brand consistency
• • Craft and contribute to the daily Outkick newsletter, overseeing content selection, tone, and structure
• • Write and report on breaking news and high-traffic stories when necessary, demonstrating strong journalistic skills
• • Monitor the digital media landscape in real-time and react swiftly to breaking news, trending topics, and shifting audience interests
• • Collaborate with the Head of Content to align editorial strategy with Outkick.com’s mission and FOX Corporation’s broader digital goals
• • Utilize digital analytics tools such as Chartbeat and Adobe Analytics to track performance, optimize content, and drive traffic growth
• • Apply SEO best practices to maximize visibility and engagement across search engines and social platforms
• • Manage editorial workflow through content management systems, ensuring seamless publishing and version control
• • Ensure smooth editorial handovers between shifts, maintaining continuity and coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays
• • Maintain a high-volume output under tight deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects and breaking news events
• • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to prioritize stories, manage competing demands, and uphold editorial integrity across all platforms
