- • As the Senior Editorial Stylist for the Global Direct Studio at Arc'teryx, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual narrative of our brand. This temporary 12-month contract role is an exceptional opportunity to contribute your refined aesthetic and deep understanding of style to aspirational outfits that embody the Arc'teryx brand ethos. You will be the guardian of our visual identity, ensuring that every curated look aligns with our brand's north star and resonates authentically across all marketing channels.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to create and execute a styling strategy that is not only on point and on trend but also deeply rooted in the authenticity of our sport categories. This means understanding the nuances of each activity – from climbing and skiing to trail running and alpine environments – and translating that into visually compelling and realistic portrayals. You will be tasked with developing looks that are aspirational yet grounded, reflecting the true spirit and demands of the activities our products are designed for.
- • You will play a pivotal role in defining how our brand's visual storytelling appears across a diverse range of marketing platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, our dotcom (e-commerce) presence, in-store retail experiences, and dynamic social media campaigns. Your styling choices will directly influence customer perception, product appeal, and overall brand engagement, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand message is delivered globally.
- • This role requires a proactive and collaborative approach. You will work closely with Art Directors, Designers, Photographers, and Writers within the Brand Creative team. This team is known for its hands-on, iterative approach to creation, mirroring the same passion and dedication that goes into our product development. You will contribute to a creative environment that thrives on diverse skill sets and a shared commitment to excellence, whether it's conceptualizing ideas, being on location in challenging environments, or refining details in the studio.
- • Key responsibilities will include conceptualizing and executing editorial styling for a variety of photo and video shoots. This involves selecting and coordinating apparel, accessories, and props to create cohesive and impactful visual stories that align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that all styled looks are technically accurate for the intended sport or activity, demonstrating a practical understanding of how our gear performs in real-world conditions.
- • You will also be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current fashion trends, industry best practices, and competitor styling to inform your creative decisions and keep the Arc'teryx visual identity fresh and relevant. This includes researching emerging styles, materials, and visual aesthetics that can be adapted to the Arc'teryx brand.
- • Collaboration extends to providing styling direction and feedback to models, photographers, and other creative team members on set to ensure the final imagery meets the highest standards of quality and brand representation. You will be a key voice in creative meetings, contributing ideas and solutions that elevate the overall visual output.
- • Furthermore, you will manage the organization and inventory of styling assets, ensuring that all garments and props are properly maintained, accounted for, and readily available for shoots. This meticulous attention to detail is crucial for efficient workflow and budget management.
- • The Senior Editorial Stylist will also be involved in developing and refining styling guides and mood boards to communicate creative vision and ensure consistency across different projects and teams. This documentation will serve as a valuable resource for the broader creative department.
- • Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to the visual appeal and marketability of Arc'teryx products, helping to inspire and connect with our global community of outdoor enthusiasts. You will be a key player in bringing the Arc'teryx brand story to life through compelling and authentic visual narratives.
- • This position is based in our North Vancouver office, offering a unique opportunity to work within a company renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability in the outdoor industry. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. This is a full-time temporary role with an anticipated end date in May 2027.
