  • • We are seeking a pragmatic and solutions-oriented Senior Employment Counsel to provide critical support to our expanding global workforce, with a particular focus on the EMEA and APAC regions. As the first dedicated employment counsel based outside of the United States, you will have a significant opportunity to shape and influence how we develop and implement global employment programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in employment law, combined with the adaptability and willingness to contribute to a broad range of legal matters within our lean and agile legal team. This impactful role will report directly to the Head of Corporate Legal.
  • • In this role, you will be instrumental in providing day-to-day legal counsel and strategic guidance to our People team and other key business partners. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating a wide spectrum of employment law matters across EMEA and APAC. This includes, but is not limited to, advising on hiring practices, performance management strategies, compensation and benefits structures, leave of absence policies, data privacy concerning employee information, conducting internal investigations, managing working time regulations, and addressing complex employee relations issues.
  • • A key responsibility will be the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of scalable employment policies, comprehensive handbooks, and engaging training programs. These initiatives will be designed to effectively support our rapidly growing global workforce and ensure compliance with diverse legal frameworks.
  • • You will collaborate closely with the People team to conduct thorough internal investigations and will be responsible for managing any employment litigation that may arise, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • • Your role will also involve the meticulous drafting and review of various employment-related agreements, such as offer letters, separation agreements, and contractor agreements, ensuring they are legally sound and align with company objectives.
  • • Furthermore, you will provide essential support to our global mobility team, assisting with the legal aspects of international employee transfers and assignments.
  • • Beyond your core employment law responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other vital corporate legal matters. This may include assisting with global expansion initiatives, supporting strategic transactions, and engaging in other projects that drive the company's growth and operational efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Qualified to practice law in Ireland or England/Wales.
  • • Minimum of 5 years of substantive employment law experience, with at least one year gained in-house at a high-growth technology company.
  • • Proven expertise in EMEA employment law, with the demonstrated ability to adapt and apply knowledge to APAC jurisdictions.
  • • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, operate independently, and work proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • • A team-focused, hyper-responsive, and collaborative work style, coupled with a strong willingness to develop new expertise and tackle novel challenges.
