• • Senior Engineer, Backend role at Tide Platform Limited in Lithuania, contributing to a global fintech platform serving over 1.8 million SME members across the UK, India, Germany, and France.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, building, running, and scaling event-driven microservices using Java 17, Spring Boot, and JOOQ; exposing and consuming RESTful APIs; leveraging SNS, SQS, and Kafka for event-driven communication; utilizing PostgreSQL via AWS Aurora as the primary datastore; deploying to production multiple times daily via CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions; implementing GitOps with ArgoCD, Docker, Terraform, and EKS/Kubernetes; monitoring services with DataDog; and collaborating closely with Product Owners to translate user needs, business opportunities, and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• • The engineering team consists of 40+ autonomous, small teams organized by domain, owning the full lifecycle of microservices within Tide’s Global One Platform. Engineers self-organize, participate in Communities of Practice, and are empowered to make technical decisions that impact multiple teams and shape the platform’s evolution.
