📋 Description

• • As a Senior Engineer, Backend at Tide Platform Limited, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling mission-critical microservices that power financial tools for over 1.8 million SMEs globally. Your work directly enables small businesses to save time and money through innovative banking and administrative solutions, from invoicing to accounting, using cutting-edge cloud-native technologies.
• • Day to day, you will contribute to an event-driven microservice architecture comprising over 200 services, designing and maintaining services your team owns using Java 21, Spring Boot, and JOOQ. You will expose and consume RESTful APIs treated as products, leverage SNS/SQS and Kafka for event-driven communication, utilize PostgreSQL via AWS Aurora as your primary datastore, and deploy code multiple times daily via CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions. You will also adopt GitOps practices using ArgoCD, Docker, Terraform, and EKS/Kubernetes, monitor services with Coralogix, and collaborate closely with Product Owners to translate user needs, business opportunities, and regulatory requirements into robust, secure, and well-tested software.
• • You will join a dynamic engineering organization of 40+ autonomous, small teams grouped by domain, each owning the full lifecycle of their microservices within Tide’s Global One Platform.
