- • Work on designing, creating, and maintaining rich product features within Tide’s Business Areas such as Payments Service or Business Service using Flutter and Dart.
- • Join a multi-disciplinary agile team collaborating with product owners, UI/UX designers, architects, and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance mobile solutions.
- • Contribute to and actively participate in the Flutter Community of Practice to improve engineering processes, share knowledge, and maintain code quality across teams.
- • Build and ship complex, error-free, and resilient mobile applications that deliver a WOW! user experience to over 2 million SME customers globally.
- • Leverage Flutter libraries, tools, and lifecycle best practices to develop modular, maintainable codebases using a Lego-like package architecture.
- • Implement state management and dependency injection using flutter_bloc, get_it, and injectable to ensure clean, testable, and scalable application architecture.
- • Utilize auto_route and flow_builder for efficient navigation across mobile applications with complex user flows.
- • Integrate backend communication using freezed, json_serializable, retrofit, and dio interceptors to ensure robust and type-safe API interactions.
- • Apply code generation with mason and build_runner to automate repetitive tasks and maintain consistency across the 300+ package Dart codebase.
- • Write and maintain Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) tests using bdd_widget_test to ensure high-quality, reliable features.
- • Employ Firebase Suite, DataDog, LaunchDarkly, and Segment for monitoring, analytics, feature flagging, and secure deployment practices.
- • Participate in CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub and GitHub Actions to enable weekly releases and continuous delivery of features.
- • Mentor and collaborate with less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of experimentation, T-shaped engineering, and collaborative learning.
- • Take ownership of technical decisions that impact multiple teams and contribute to the evolution of Tide’s Global One Platform.
- • Drive innovation by experimenting with new tools and techniques while adhering to Tide’s principle of leveraging existing solutions over reinventing the wheel.
- • Ensure seamless localisation of applications using i69n to support global users across the UK, India, Germany, and France.
- • Work within a flexible workplace model that supports both remote and in-office collaboration, with opportunities for in-person team-building at Tide’s technology centres.
- • Contribute to a culture of transparency, inclusion, and diversity where every voice is heard and valued in shaping product and engineering direction.

- • Working experience with Flutter as a Software Engineer
- • Experience with popular Flutter libraries, tools and its lifecycle
- • Passionate about building great products in small, autonomous, agile teams
- • A passion for automation tests and experience writing testable code
- • Experience building sleek, high-performance user interfaces and complex Mobile apps that successfully shipped to customers
