📋 Description
- • Join Vonage as a Senior Engineering Manager to lead an engineering tribe within the Data Services group, overseeing multiple squads responsible for critical data and billing pipelines that power the company’s CPaaS platform used by global brands like Airbnb, WhatsApp, and Snapchat.
- • Provide technical and people leadership across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery while acting as a trusted advisor to the Director of Engineering in driving organisational transformation.
- • Work within a dynamic, innovative team at Vonage, a global leader in cloud communications, where you’ll manage both legacy systems and greenfield initiatives involving high-volume data processing, real-time pipelines, and complex architectural challenges.
- • Grow as a technical leader by shaping product roadmaps, collaborating with Product teams, improving organisational practices, and gaining deep expertise in scalable data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on coding experience in at least one of Java, Golang, Kotlin, Python, or a similar language, with ability to write and review code fluently.
- • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software delivery practices, including experience leading teams in iterative development environments.
- • Proven experience with data pipeline technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Flink, or Pinot, including data transformations, real-time processing, and high-volume data handling.
- • Solid background in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, along with experience in Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems.
- • Demonstrated ability in system design, platform architecture mapping, and applying security best practices in distributed systems.
- • Product-minded mindset with ability to act as a Product Owner, demo systems to customers, and collaborate with Product teams to shape feature roadmaps.
