- • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on building and evolving a sophisticated, high-scale distributed data processing platform that is critical to Bloomreach's AI-driven personalization services.
- • Drive the technical vision and roadmap for the Analytics team, ensuring the platform's architecture and capabilities align with the company's strategic goals and the evolving needs of hundreds of large B2C and B2B merchants.
- • Champion best practices in data processing, system observability, and documentation to enhance team efficiency, platform stability, and operational excellence.
- • Define and oversee the implementation of internal and external APIs, focusing on scalability, automation, and cost-efficiency to support Bloomreach's agentic platform for personalization.
- • Collaborate closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical plans and project roadmaps, ensuring alignment between product strategy and engineering execution.
- • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and capacity allocation to development schedules, ensuring predictable delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
- • Uphold and enforce rigorous Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC), setting high standards for code quality, change management, security, and overall system integrity.
- • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages continuous learning, psychological safety, and high performance, particularly across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
- • Coach and develop individual engineers, identifying growth opportunities, providing constructive feedback, and establishing clear career paths within the organization.
- • Drive alignment and consensus among diverse teams, proactively identifying and resolving dependencies and conflicts to ensure smooth project progression.
- • Architect and guide the development of scalable data processing solutions, leveraging expertise in distributed systems, big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- • Ensure the platform's robustness and efficiency by implementing effective monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms.
- • Contribute to the strategic direction of Bloomreach's personalization platform by providing technical leadership and insights into emerging technologies and industry trends.
- • Actively participate in architectural reviews and technical discussions, offering solutions to complex data challenges and promoting innovative approaches.
- • Guide the team in adopting and refining agile methodologies to maximize productivity and responsiveness to business needs.
- • Build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders in Product, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
- • Oversee the operational health of the data processing platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability for critical business functions.
- • Drive initiatives to improve data quality, data governance, and data security across the platform.
- • Mentor team members on technical best practices, problem-solving techniques, and effective communication strategies.
- • Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent, helping to build a world-class team.
- • Stay abreast of industry advancements in AI, machine learning, and data engineering to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within Bloomreach's platform.
- • Ensure the team's work directly contributes to Bloomreach's mission of revolutionizing how businesses connect with their customers through AI-powered personalization.
- • Empower the team to take ownership of their work, fostering a sense of accountability and pride in delivering impactful solutions.
- • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the wider engineering organization.
- • Drive continuous improvement in team processes, tooling, and technical capabilities.
