- • Lead the Agent Orchestration team to build AI Teammates that act as shared team resources, triaging bugs, responding to requests, drafting project briefs, conducting research, and handling complex knowledge work across enterprise workflows, transforming Asana from a work-tracking tool to a work-doing platform.
- • Manage a senior team of six engineers (ICs up to L6) to architect systems that connect Asana’s AI agents to external platforms like Slack, Teams, and Salesforce, enabling dynamic skill acquisition, deep integrations, and vertical use cases while ensuring reliability, compliance, and enterprise-grade performance.
- • Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define roadmap priorities, drive alignment on shared infrastructure and APIs, and contribute to org-level engineering leadership across the Asana AI group, shaping how enterprises collaborate with AI agents across their entire tool ecosystem.
- • Drive engineering velocity, champion AI coding adoption, attract and retain senior engineering talent, and operate in a fast-moving, zero-to-one environment where you set durable technical direction amid evolving AI capabilities and enterprise requirements.
- • Work in Asana’s Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in-office; Wednesday optional remote; Friday dependent on team needs), supporting a culture of human/AI collaboration as the company’s top priority.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing technical teams
- • Strong systems integration and platform-building experience with a track record of connecting complex systems across diverse environments
- • Proven ability to set technical direction and drive alignment across multiple teams on shared infrastructure and patterns
- • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain senior engineering talent
- • Comfortable with ambiguity and thriving in zero-to-one product environments
- • Effective cross-functional collaborator with Product, Design, Data Science, and peer engineering teams
