📋 Description

• Lead the User Platform & Enterprise team at Horizon3.ai, a fast-growing remote cybersecurity company, to drive excellence in enterprise user experience, scalability, and explainability of the NodeZero platform’s licensing and entitlement frameworks.
• Own and evolve the core user platform experience, including authentication, authorization, user settings, tenant management, auditability, and feature flagging systems that serve mid-market to enterprise customers and global organizations.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering, product, and security teams to define and execute a cohesive technical vision for multi-tenant SaaS capabilities that balance security, usability, and scalability.
• Mentor and manage a team of 6–10 software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning in a remote-first environment.
• Drive initiatives that improve client experience by reducing complexity in enterprise onboarding, feature access, and compliance readiness, directly impacting customer trust and product adoption.
• Contribute to Horizon3.ai’s mission of enabling organizations to proactively identify and fix exploitable attack vectors before criminals do, by ensuring the platform’s user-facing infrastructure is secure, reliable, and intuitive.
• Work within a mission-driven team of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and security practitioners committed to solving industry-wide challenges like alert fatigue, tool sprawl, and cybersecurity skills gaps.
• Grow as a technical leader by shaping platform strategy, influencing product direction, and gaining deep exposure to enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks in a high-impact, fast-scaling environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading teams of 6–10 cross-functional software engineers in a technical leadership role.
• Demonstrated success leading backend or platform engineering teams, preferably in SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, user settings, tenant management, auditability, or entitlement frameworks in enterprise products.
• Strong background in backend/platform engineering with expertise in at least one object-oriented language (Python preferred; Go, Java, C++ acceptable).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes), observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and database systems (PostgreSQL, Neo4j).
