- • Senior Event Manager (part time, contract) responsible for owning end-to-end planning and execution of Bankjoy's trade show presence and annual client conference, a critical role in driving brand visibility and client engagement for a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partners-backed FinTech startup revolutionizing banking technology for community banks and credit unions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing logistics for trade shows and industry conferences across North America, overseeing booth design, shipping, setup, and teardown, sourcing and managing vendors (AV, print, swag, signage), coordinating internal staffing and travel plans, maintaining an annual event calendar, and leading the full lifecycle of the annual 'Elevate' client conference each September — from venue selection and budget management to attendee registration, speaker coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- • Works closely with Senior Product Marketing Manager, Demand Gen Lead, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure events are executed flawlessly and deliver measurable impact, operating in a remote-first, fast-paced startup environment with approximately 20 hours per week, scaling during peak seasons (May–September).
- • Opportunity to lead high-impact events in the financial technology space, gain deep exposure to B2B SaaS and fintech marketing operations, strengthen end-to-end event management expertise, and contribute directly to customer acquisition and retention strategies while working with cross-functional teams in a mission-driven organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of event management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services
- • Proven track record managing trade shows and multi-day conferences end-to-end, including budget ownership
- • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills
- • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail — able to manage multiple events at different stages simultaneously
- • Proactive communicator who surfaces issues early and keeps stakeholders informed
- • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
- • Ability to travel to events across North America as required (estimated 6–10 trips per year)
