- • The Senior Events Operations Executive / Assistant Events Manager plays a critical role in delivering The Economist Group’s portfolio of 70+ annual events, ensuring seamless execution across live, virtual, and hybrid formats while meeting financial targets and exceeding delegate and sponsor expectations.
- • Day to day, the role involves managing end-to-end event logistics including budget control, vendor selection and negotiation, project timeline adherence, stakeholder communication, on-site staffing and supplier oversight, and client relationship management across regional events in Hong Kong and support for global virtual events.

- • In this role, the individual will develop advanced expertise in event financial control, cross-format project management, vendor negotiation, and stakeholder engagement, while gaining exposure to international event operations and contributing to high-impact events that shape global discourse.
🎯 Requirements
- • Three to five years of work experience in an events operations role, ideally with agency background
- • Proven experience in developing and managing event budgets
- • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline
- • Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management skills
- • High comfort level with Microsoft and Google product suites and modern event tech stacks
- • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak seasons and travel up to 20% of the time
- • Eligibility to work in Hong Kong
