- • Capita is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Functional Analyst, specializing in the Order to Cash (O2C) process, to play a pivotal role in a significant client transformation program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, multi-phase mobilization effort focused on establishing standardized, user-centric finance services. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring accurate billing, effective cash collection, and robust revenue control.
- • Reporting directly to the Capita Finance & Procurement Functional Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping Capita’s O2C service design. This involves ensuring a seamless alignment between intricate client requirements, Capita’s established standard solution capabilities, and the broader Finance operating model. Your strategic input will guide the development of efficient and effective financial processes.
- • You will collaborate closely with a diverse team, including other Functional Analysts, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in finance, Service Designers, and Technology teams. Together, you will define and implement robust, scalable O2C processes that guarantee a smooth and positive experience for both service recipients and end-users. This collaborative approach is key to delivering integrated and high-performing financial operations.
- • A core responsibility will be to lead and actively support the design of end-to-end Order to Cash processes. This encompasses all critical stages, from customer and account setup, through to meticulous billing and invoicing, efficient cash receipts, and precise cash application. Your deep understanding of these stages will drive process excellence.
- • You will contribute significantly to the development of the Capita Service Blueprint and the High-Level Operating Model for Finance. This ensures that O2C services are not only clearly defined but also rigorously controlled and seamlessly integrated with adjacent financial processes, such as Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R).
- • Facilitating and actively participating in client and SME workshops will be a key part of your role. You will be responsible for capturing detailed functional requirements, defining critical business rules, identifying and documenting exceptions, and understanding specific volumes related to O2C services. This deep dive into client needs is essential for accurate solution design.
- • You will translate these captured requirements into comprehensive and clear documentation. This includes low-level process maps, detailed service designs, functional specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other essential service artefacts. This documentation will be critical for subsequent testing, smooth transition phases, and effective live service operation.
- • Working in close partnership with Service Design, Technology, and Operations teams is paramount. You will ensure that the designed O2C processes are fully aligned with Capita’s standard ERP-enabled solutions, leveraging technology to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- • Your role will involve driving O2C optimization and transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on enhancing cash application processes and managing suspense accounts effectively. This proactive approach aims to continuously improve financial operations.
- • You will demonstrate confident stakeholder engagement skills, working directly with client finance SMEs, operations teams, and various cross-functional delivery teams. Building strong relationships and communicating effectively are vital for project success.
- • The role requires a solid understanding of core O2C financial principles, including billing methodologies, cash receipt processing, revenue assurance practices, debt management strategies, and robust financial controls. This includes a keen awareness of audit and compliance considerations to ensure regulatory adherence.
- • Experience working within ERP-enabled O2C environments, such as Oracle-based solutions, and understanding how to integrate O2C processes with broader finance services is essential. This technical understanding underpins the ability to design effective solutions.
- • You will be adept at producing high-quality process documentation, SOPs, and functional artefacts that are crucial for supporting comprehensive testing, effective training programs, and ensuring overall operational readiness for the new services.
