- • As a Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager in the AI Simulation division at SandboxAQ, you will drive the productization of scientific innovations using Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) to accelerate discovery in biopharma, chemicals, advanced materials, and healthcare by translating complex scientific needs into commercially viable product solutions.
- • You will own product strategy and definition by working backwards from customer needs, creating PRFAQs and PRDs, collaborating with UX/Design on user flows, and leading rapid concept prototyping and validation through early demos to test hypotheses with real-world data.
- • You will manage the 12-18 month product roadmap, coordinate execution across Science, Engineering, and Design teams, oversee backlog prioritization, and lead go-to-market activities including launch planning, collateral development, and post-launch iteration with Marketing and Legal.
- • You will partner with design partners and lighthouse customers to validate Product Market Fit (PMF), work with GTM teams on pricing, packaging, and adoption strategies, and monitor KPIs to inform product improvements and revenue goals.
- • You will operate in a mission-driven, collaborative environment at SandboxAQ, a company spun out of Alphabet in 2022, where experts in AI, chemistry, physics, and medicine work together to solve global challenges in life sciences, cybersecurity, and beyond through deep technical innovation and entrepreneurial ownership.
- • You will grow your expertise in translating advanced scientific concepts into market-ready products, gain experience in regulated healthcare and life sciences environments, and develop leadership in AI/ML product strategy while contributing to breakthroughs in drug discovery and sustainable materials.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or technical product leader in a life sciences-focused software business
- • Proven experience taking Cloud/SaaS products from concept through engineering design, launch, and go-to-market
- • Deep understanding of life sciences value chains, including biopharma R&D workflows such as target identification, biomarker discovery, hit finding, lead optimization, preclinical development, translational science, and clinical evidence generation
- • Fluency in life sciences data types and constraints, including omics, imaging, assay data, real-world data, EHR/claims, literature, and knowledge graphs, with awareness of data quality, provenance, and interoperability
- • Ability to translate complex scientific user needs from researchers, clinicians, translational teams, medical affairs, and data scientists into clear product requirements without oversimplifying the science
