- • Develop firmware for upper limb prostheses and related wearable health tech products, ensuring robust, efficient, and compliant embedded solutions.
- • Design and implement firmware for specialized tools used in the manufacturing of prosthetic devices.
- • Analyze product requirements, design technical solutions, and decompose tasks for new features and product iterations.
- • Collaborate within the firmware team using Scrum-like methodologies, including code reviews and iterative development cycles.
- • Work closely with hardware, manufacturing, mobile application, and QA teams to integrate firmware with physical components and software ecosystems.
- • Participate in the architectural design and continuous improvement of embedded systems to meet scalable, long-term project needs.
- • Support comprehensive documentation for firmware modules, interfaces, and development processes.
- • Debug complex system-level issues using measurement tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- • Read and interpret schematic diagrams to understand hardware-firmware interactions and troubleshoot integration issues.
- • Perform prototyping tasks using soldering irons and test equipment to validate firmware behavior on physical hardware.
- • Manage code repositories using Git, ensuring clean version control practices and collaborative development workflows.
- • Communicate technical concepts clearly in written and spoken English at a B2 level or higher across international teams.
- • Contribute to the development of BLE-based embedded solutions, including protocol implementation and connectivity optimization.
- • Implement low-level device drivers and firmware for MCU/CPU peripherals, with deep understanding of interrupts, boot sequences, multithreading, and multiprocessing.
- • Apply bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware development practices to resource-constrained embedded systems.
- • Maintain high standards of engineering quality, ownership, and attention to detail in all deliverables.
- • Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within a cross-functional team focused on improving human capabilities through technology.
- • Influence product direction by owning key firmware modules and contributing to technical decision-making processes.
- • Operate in a flexible hybrid work environment, with options to work from Kyiv or remotely.
- • Benefit from military reservation protections under Ukrainian legislation from the start of employment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong proficiency in C programming
- • Experience with bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware development and low-level device driver implementations
- • Familiarity with MCU/CPU peripherals, communication interfaces, and CLI-based build environments (Shell/Bash, Make, CMake)
- • Experience with BLE-based embedded solutions and strong system-level debugging skills
- • Ability to read schematic diagrams and work with measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
- • Proficiency in Git and written/spoken English at B2 level or higher
