📋 Description

• As a Senior Full Stack Data Scientist, NLP on TRM Labs' Knowledge Layer team, you will design, build, and productionize machine learning models that extract knowledge from unstructured data, perform entity resolution, and enable graph-based inference to power TRM’s blockchain intelligence and AI platforms used by law enforcement, financial institutions, and national security agencies to detect and disrupt crypto-related fraud and financial crime.
• You will partner closely with backend and graph engineers to integrate ML models into production services and APIs, own ML components end-to-end from experimentation to deployment and iteration, evaluate and leverage existing ML frameworks, contribute to the design and evolution of knowledge graphs and ontologies, perform exploratory data analysis to inform modeling decisions, and help shape best practices for applied ML within the team.
• The Knowledge Layer team sits at the intersection of knowledge graphs, entity resolution, graph extraction, and graph analytics, and plays a critical role in powering TRM’s core intelligence products; while the team has strong backend and graph engineering expertise, this role brings the essential machine learning and data science voice to accelerate and scale capabilities in knowledge extraction and graph-based ML.
• You will operate in a high-velocity, high-ownership environment where priorities shift rapidly, ambiguity is common, and impact is measured by speed and outcomes—ideal for someone energized by hard problems, experimentation, and continuous feedback in a mission-driven context focused on building a safer world through AI and blockchain analytics.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in applied ML for NLP and graph-based learning, gain end-to-end ownership of ML systems in production, strengthen collaboration across engineering disciplines, and contribute to meaningful work that directly supports TRM’s mission of enabling a safer, more secure world for billions by fighting financial crime in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or applied ML
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Hands-on experience building, training, or deploying machine learning models in production
• Familiarity with NLP or information extraction techniques such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), text classification, or embedding-based approaches
• Experience or strong interest in knowledge graphs, graph data, or graph-based ML
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including building and maintaining APIs or services
• Ability to translate ambiguous problem spaces into practical ML solutions
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with engineers across disciplines
