📋 Description

• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Humana Inc., you will play a critical role in building and maintaining scalable, secure, and user-centered software solutions that directly impact the healthcare experiences of millions of members nationwide. Your work will bridge technical excellence with mission-driven outcomes, ensuring that digital platforms are not only robust and efficient but also intuitive and accessible for diverse user groups.
• You will be responsible for end-to-end development across the full technology stack — designing and implementing responsive front-end interfaces using React/Java, developing scalable back-end services with Python and APIs, managing database integrations, and overseeing deployment and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes collaborating with product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions, writing clean and testable code, conducting peer reviews, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
• You will actively contribute to modernizing Humana’s software delivery by championing DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), reducing manual effort and increasing release velocity. Your expertise will help streamline workflows through feature flags, low-code/no-code integrations, and scalable architectural patterns that support rapid innovation without compromising reliability or compliance.
• You will work within a collaborative, mission-focused engineering team that values continuous learning, technical excellence, and empathy for end-users. The team operates with agile methodologies, encourages knowledge sharing, and supports professional growth through access to training, certifications, and cross-functional projects that expose you to complex healthcare systems and emerging technologies.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native architectures, full-stack development, and secure software engineering while gaining direct exposure to healthcare-specific challenges such as HIPAA compliance, data interoperability, and patient-centric design. You will have the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and influence architectural decisions that shape Humana’s digital transformation journey.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, including front-end (React/Java), back-end (Python/APIs), database integration, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
• Proven experience with DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in production environments
• Demonstrated ability to deliver result-oriented outcomes through effective change management and collaboration with product owners and cross-functional teams
• Strong commitment to improving consumer experiences in healthcare, with passion for simplifying complex systems through innovation and user-centered design
