• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving the technical vision and execution of our platform. • The core of your work will involve tackling complex technical challenges that are crucial to our success. This includes architecting and developing a real-time, collaborative financial workspace designed for seamless team interaction. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust, scalable, and maintainable API that serves as the backbone of our platform. A significant part of your role will involve integrating with a diverse array of financial data providers, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange.
• Furthermore, you will focus on crafting elegantly simple abstractions that enable a frictionless and adaptable user experience. Protecting our customers' sensitive financial data, as well as our own, with the highest standards of security and compliance will be paramount. This requires a deep understanding of security best practices and a proactive approach to threat mitigation.
• Our technology stack is modern and efficient, featuring an Elixir Phoenix application on the backend, deployed on AWS using Terraform. On the frontend, we utilize a Next.js application powered by TypeScript. While we don't expect you to be an expert in every technology from day one, we value a willingness to learn and adapt. If you have experience with functional programming languages, you'll find Elixir intuitive and powerful. Familiarity with frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Django will ease your transition into Phoenix. Experience with React is a strong foundation, and we can support your development in TypeScript if needed. Conversely, a solid JavaScript background is valuable even without prior React experience. Ultimately, we prioritize your problem-solving skills and your aptitude for learning over specific toolchain familiarity.
• In this role, you will embody a true 'wear many hats' mentality. You'll act as an architect, skillfully balancing performance requirements with pragmatic implementation decisions. You'll be a hands-on developer, exploring and implementing diverse design patterns and solutions. You'll contribute as a product manager, adept at cutting through complexity to define and deliver simplified features that provide maximum value. You will also serve as a leader and mentor, guiding junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• We are looking for engineers who possess a deep understanding of best practices, not just by rote memorization, but by comprehending the underlying principles. This allows for informed decisions on when to deviate from standard practices to achieve optimal outcomes. You should be confident in articulating your viewpoints while remaining open to alternative ideas, and possess the ability to 'disagree and commit' when necessary to move projects forward effectively.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong command of both backend and frontend development.
• Proficiency in at least one functional programming language (e.g., Elixir, Haskell, Scala) or a willingness to learn Elixir quickly.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks (e.g., Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, Django) and API design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
