• • Your core responsibility will be to design, build, and maintain end-to-end features that span both our backend systems, including the critical ledger and sophisticated routing services, and our frontend, which is built on a modern React-based UI. This involves not just writing code, but architecting solutions that can handle high throughput and complex financial transactions with unwavering reliability.
• • You will be responsible for implementing and evolving production-grade APIs, meticulously designing data models, and building robust integrations essential for a high-throughput financial system. This requires a deep understanding of financial systems, security best practices, and the ability to anticipate future scaling needs.
• • A significant aspect of this role is owning the full lifecycle of features. This means taking ownership from the initial design and implementation phases through rigorous testing, seamless deployment, and ensuring ongoing reliability and performance in the production environment. You will be the guardian of your creations, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

You will work closely with the VP of Engineering, the founders, and your fellow engineers to translate complex product requirements into actionable technical designs and detailed delivery plans. Your input will be crucial in shaping the product roadmap and technical strategy.

This involves in-depth profiling, performance tuning, implementing better monitoring solutions, and proactively identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks.
• • You will contribute significantly to establishing and refining our engineering standards, participating actively in code reviews, and making critical technical decisions. In a fast-paced startup environment, your ability to balance speed with quality and maintainability will be essential.
• • The ideal candidate possesses a mastery of distributed systems concepts, including microservices architecture, idempotency, effective retry backoff strategies, and understanding eventual consistency models. Experience with event-driven architectures, high-volume message queues (such as Kafka or Redis Streams), and sophisticated caching layers is highly desirable.
• • You will build with observability as a first-class citizen, integrating comprehensive metrics, distributed tracing, and robust logging. Comfort and experience working with modern monitoring stacks are expected, enabling you to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
• • This role demands a first-principles thinker who understands the 'why' behind the tools they use, enabling them to solve novel problems from the ground up, particularly in the complex domain of hybrid (Fiat/Crypto) finance.
