📋 Description

• Senior Full Stack Engineer role focused on building and enhancing Fivetran’s customer-facing dashboard and growth initiatives, directly contributing to the company’s mission of making data access as simple and reliable as electricity by enabling thousands of organizations to become truly data-driven through seamless, maintenance-free data pipelines.
• Work on core UI features using TypeScript and React, develop backend services in Java, and own end-to-end feature delivery from technical design through rollout, including bug investigation, fix implementation, and performance optimization to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to design, implement, and analyze A/B tests for growth experiments and onboarding improvements, turning data-driven insights into impactful product iterations that enhance user activation and retention.
• Contribute to technical excellence by reviewing code, contributing to architectural decisions, writing and maintaining internal documentation, and mentoring teammates to uphold coding best practices and distributed systems principles.
• Operate within a hybrid work model based in Novi Sad, Serbia, with two days in the office weekly, leveraging modern tools including Postgres, Storybook, Vitest, Grafana, Bazel, Buildkite, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes to build scalable, observable, and maintainable systems.
• Drive ownership of services by ensuring SLA compliance, optimizing performance, and advocating for accepted coding standards across the team, while participating in a culture that values innovation, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
• Grow professionally by engaging with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, contributing to a globally recognized data infrastructure platform valued at over $5.6 billion, and developing leadership and product-minded engineering skills in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience writing JavaScript or Java applications in production environments
• Strong coding, technical, and problem-solving skills with ability to write well-structured code following programming best practices
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Java, and Postgres, plus familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and observability tools (Grafana)
• Ability to write software design documentation, troubleshoot existing code, optimize for performance, and ensure coding standards are followed by teammates
• Proven ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Bonus: Experience in full stack development, distributed systems, high-volume data platforms under strict SLAs, cloud-based APIs, and leadership or mentoring roles
