📋 Description

• As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at this innovative veterinary software company, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of animal healthcare technology. • You will take full ownership of software projects, guiding them from initial scoping and planning through to successful release. This includes collaborating closely with product teammates to define project scope, estimate timelines, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Your ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks will be crucial.
• A core responsibility will be the design and development of robust, scalable, and efficient veterinary software solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Elixir/Erlang for backend development and React/TypeScript for frontend development to build high-quality, user-centric applications.
• This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be expected to research and resolve complex customer issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of the software. This often involves deep dives into the codebase and close collaboration with support and QA teams.
• You will play a key role in mentoring and guiding more junior engineers. This includes sharing your knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative learning environment. Your leadership will help elevate the technical capabilities of the entire team.
• Collaboration is paramount. You will work closely with a small, cross-functional, and highly-collaborative team, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers. Together, you will deliver exceptional software that addresses real-world challenges faced by veterinary professionals.
• You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of software releases. This involves leading collaboration efforts between engineering and QA, implementing thorough testing strategies, and maintaining high standards for code quality and performance.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building modern SaaS applications.
• Deep knowledge of Elixir/Erlang or another functional language for back-end development.
• Experience using TypeScript and React or similar frameworks for front-end development.
• Proven experience with relational databases, including using good design patterns and building and tuning efficient queries/data access.
• Experience taking ownership of software projects from scoping to release.
