Senior Full Stack Engineer (FE Focused)

📋 Description

• • Develop and maintain a high-performance, responsive, and accessible web application using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, ensuring alignment with ZOE’s brand and user experience standards.
• • Collaborate closely with UX designers to translate high-fidelity mockups into functional, performant, and accessible frontend components, with a focus on accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of ZOE’s shared design system and component libraries, ensuring consistency and reusability across web and mobile platforms.
• • Bridge frontend and backend systems by collaborating with backend engineers on API design, data structure, and integration patterns, occasionally implementing changes in Kotlin or Python to support frontend functionality.
• • Build and deploy features using a CI/CD pipeline powered by GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, with a goal of shipping to production daily and iteratively refining user journeys based on data and feedback.
• • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests using Optimizely and other experimentation tools, working in partnership with data analysts to interpret results and drive product improvements.
• • Leverage GraphQL to fetch and structure data efficiently from backend services, ensuring optimal performance and minimal latency for end users.
• • Utilize GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Vercel to support scalable, reliable deployment of frontend applications and monitor system health through Grafana and other observability tools.
• • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with product managers, data scientists, marketing, legal, and finance teams to ensure engineering solutions meet business, regulatory, and user needs.
• • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code that adheres to engineering best practices, with emphasis on maintainability, scalability, and team knowledge sharing.
• • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, encouraging experimentation with new technologies and improved ways of working.
• • Participate in the full product lifecycle—from ideation and design reviews to deployment and post-launch optimization—ensuring technical decisions align with product goals and user outcomes.
• • Maintain awareness of web performance metrics and implement optimizations to improve Core Web Vitals, reduce load times, and enhance user retention and satisfaction.
• • Work within a distributed team across the UK and EU, participating in asynchronous and synchronous collaboration to deliver high-quality digital experiences for a global health-focused audience.
