📋 Description

• Senior Full-Stack Engineer role focused on designing and building new features using Laravel and Vue.js, contributing to Tillo’s mission of simplifying gift cards, rewards, and incentives globally.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing performant PHP 8 code with Laravel, building Vue.js (and ideally Nuxt) frontends, integrating third-party APIs, conducting code reviews, collaborating with Product Managers on scoping and estimation, supporting DevOps tasks like monitoring test and production environments, maintaining codebase standards, and engaging in regular pairing sessions with team members.
• Part of a global, collaborative team based in Cape Town with hybrid flexibility, serving customers across the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and beyond; Tillo is a market leader in rewards and incentives, processing billions in gift card transactions via a single API across 37 markets and 25 currencies.
• Opportunity to grow technical expertise in modern full-stack development, improve API integration and DevOps practices, influence product direction through close collaboration with Product and engineering teams, and deepen skills in testing, performance optimization, and scalable system design within a values-driven culture emphasizing trust, positivity, and continuous learning.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience writing performant and clean code to modern PHP 8 standards
• Experience developing with the Laravel framework
• Experience with Vue (& ideally Nuxt)
• Designing efficient SQL queries and schemas
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience using version control such as git and Bitbucket/GitHub/Gitlab
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of testing principles
