📋 Description

• As a Senior Mobile Engineer I at Homebase Labs Inc., you will build high-quality, high-performance tablet experiences (Android and iPad) within the Timeclock domain, helping small business managers understand, grow, and staff their teams more intelligently.
• Day to day, you will build, ship, and maintain features in React Native, develop clean and scalable code, partner with product, design, and backend engineers, improve app performance and reliability for 3.9M+ active users, leverage AI tools to accelerate development, and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• You’ll join a bold, fast-moving team at Homebase that is obsessed with helping small businesses thrive through empathy, urgency, and big swings that drive real-world impact, building tools that simplify operations for over 150,000 small businesses.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in React Native and mobile performance, contribute to the mobile technical roadmap, raise engineering excellence across the organization, and gain hands-on experience applying AI to improve development velocity and product outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of React Native Engineering experience
• Expert in common React Native frameworks
• Advanced understanding of object-oriented design patterns
• Strong understanding of performance optimization for mobile applications
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Experience with testing frameworks (unit, feature, integration)
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, GitHub, CircleCI, and development via PR workflows
• AI Fluency: Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows, debug, generate tests, and improve development velocity
