• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of scientific intelligence. You will be instrumental in developing Luma, our AI-Native Multimodal Research Platform, designed to fit the natural workflows of scientists. This platform streamlines research through adaptive AI-driven workflows and seamless data integration, empowering scientists to achieve more.
• Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of complex, high-impact features within our robust Node.js/TypeScript and React ecosystem. You will architect and implement scalable solutions that handle vast amounts of scientific data, ensuring the technical health and integrity of our codebase.
• You will be a key contributor to developing and maintaining serverless and event-driven data pipelines. These pipelines are critical for processing high-volume scientific data efficiently and reliably, forming the backbone of our AI-powered platform.
• A core aspect of your role will involve writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code. You will proactively identify and address technical debt, championing architectural improvements to ensure our platform remains robust, scalable, and future-proof.
• Collaboration is central to our success. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build intuitive and powerful user interfaces that simplify the complexities of scientific research, making cutting-edge tools accessible to scientists.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency with Node.js and React, including a deep understanding of their ecosystems and best practices.
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, coupled with strong proficiency in PostgreSQL for data management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2) and a solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience working with message-based architectures (e.g., Kafka) and implementing event-driven patterns for scalable data processing.
• A strong advocate for automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
