- • Design and develop full-stack features for internal operational platforms supporting finance, compliance, and commissions workflows in the real estate industry.
- • Build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, with integrations via modern API architectures, webhooks, and third-party platforms.
- • Develop real-time dashboards and internal tools using React or Vue to surface operational and business metrics for finance and compliance teams.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate manual processes and improve efficiency in transaction management and workflow systems.
- • Contribute to platform architecture and data modeling for complex, distributed transaction workflows across multiple systems.
- • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices for both frontend and backend components.
- • Participate in technical discussions focused on scalability, reliability, developer experience, and system design improvements.
- • Work within a remote-first, async engineering culture, managing tasks independently with clear communication and documented outcomes.
- • Integrate and consume third-party APIs including financial platforms such as Stripe, NetSuite, TotalBrokerage, or SkySlope.
- • Implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS (preferred) or Azure, including deployment, monitoring, and service configuration.
- • Leverage AI-augmented development tools like Claude Code or equivalent agentic tools for non-trivial coding and architectural tasks, not just chat-based assistance.
- • Utilize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems or MCP (Model Context Protocol) services to enhance internal tooling and automation.
- • Ensure data consistency and system integrity across relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- • Optimize backend performance and frontend user experience for internal tools used daily by finance, compliance, and operations teams.
- • Maintain observability through tools like BetterStack or analytics platforms like PostHog to monitor system health and user behavior.
- • Navigate state management across distributed services to ensure seamless data flow and error handling in complex workflows.
- • Apply pragmatic architectural principles to design systems that are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows.
- • Communicate technical requirements, progress, and blockers clearly in English, both in writing and verbally, across remote, U.S.-based teams.
- • Maintain high standards of documentation, code reviews, and collaboration in an async environment with minimal supervision.
- • Work directly on projects for an AI-first, technology-driven real estate brokerage client focused on digital transformation in real estate operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development
- • Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend application development
- • Strong frontend development experience with React or Vue
- • Solid working knowledge of Python and experience with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
- • Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
- • Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhook integrations, and third-party API consumption
