📋 Description

• Design and implement AI agent workflows and tooling using LangChain/LangGraph to enable AI models to plan actions, call tools, use APIs, search information, and complete multi-step workflows reliably.
• Build and maintain the tools, function interfaces, and system connectors that AI agents use to interact with databases, document stores, enterprise applications, and external APIs.
• Ensure AI agents operate safely within defined constraints, respecting permissions, following rules, and executing with reliability and security.
• Lead the design and implementation of core workflow orchestration and automation features, including background processes and automated task execution.
• Develop scalable FastAPI services with production-grade RESTful APIs and real-time streaming endpoints (SSE) for low-latency data delivery.
• Create modular, reusable service components with robust authentication, error handling, pagination, and state management patterns.
• Develop and guide React frontend components with TypeScript for real-time user interactions and data visualization within the Luma platform.
• Implement multi-tenant architecture with secure data isolation, resource boundaries, and long-term scalability for enterprise customers.
• Apply Clean Architecture principles with clear separation of concerns across microservices, API gateways, and service layers.
• Design event-driven systems using message queues and async processing to support scalable, decoupled workflows.
• Implement subprocess isolation patterns for credential management and security boundaries in AI agent execution environments.
• Write comprehensive automated tests using pytest and Jest, including integration and behavior-driven tests to ensure system reliability.
• Implement structured logging, correlation IDs, and observability patterns to enhance system clarity, debugging, and operational monitoring.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, linting, and deployment workflows to maintain high code quality.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for production environments to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
• Lead or support critical incident resolution with calm, context-driven decision-making and post-mortem analysis.
• Drive platform-wide improvements in performance, reliability, and technical quality across the Luma AI-Native platform.
• Document architectural decisions, engineering patterns, and approaches to serve as long-term references for the engineering team.
• Provide technical proposals and approach summaries before major implementations to align with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Participate in planning and estimation using deep technical judgment and product awareness to guide roadmap priorities.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guiding them through feature branches, pull requests, ticket management, and code review practices.
• Build cross-functional relationships with product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps and drive collaborative initiatives.
• Communicate risks, challenges, and opportunities proactively and clearly to stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
• Document and evangelize best practices for safe, reliable, and maintainable AI agent design across the engineering organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with ownership of large-scale technical systems
• Expert-level Python 3.11+ with deep understanding of async/await, type hints, and modern Python best practices
• Proven experience building AI agents using LangChain/LangGraph, including tool creation, function calling, and multi-step workflow orchestration
• Strong experience with FastAPI for building production RESTful APIs and streaming endpoints
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and microservices architecture in production environments
• Experience with React and TypeScript for building responsive, maintainable frontend components
