📋 Description

• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on Dandy’s Web & 3D Integrations team, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing the dental industry by building and maintaining the web-based 3D design tools that power Dandy’s operating system for dental practices worldwide. Your work will directly enable clinicians to deliver higher-quality, faster, and more cost-effective patient-matched restorations through seamless integration of design, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
• You will develop and maintain sophisticated web applications using TypeScript, React, and THREE.js to support complex 3D design interactions, ensuring intuitive and high-performance experiences for internal designers and engineers. This includes orchestrating the availability of 3D tools based on real-time supply chain triggers, managing capacity allocation, and ensuring reliable transmission of CAD outputs from browser to cloud storage and onward to remote manufacturing centers.
• You will design, build, and maintain internal APIs, microservices, and endpoints using NestJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, enabling secure and efficient data flow between design tools, manufacturing systems, and analytics platforms. Your work will include instrumenting these systems to capture rich operational data that supports forecasting, throughput optimization, and continuous improvement.
• You will develop robust integrations with third-party APIs to transmit and receive 3D data payloads for external processing, ensuring data integrity, format compatibility, and timely retrieval of processed outputs for downstream use in the restoration workflow.
• You will solve technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity, applying strong problem-solving skills to debug, optimize, and refactor code while advocating for best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability through active participation in code reviews and team discussions.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment, contributing to a culture of innovation and accountability by communicating risks, trade-offs, and improvement opportunities clearly and proactively, while mentoring peers and helping evolve engineering standards across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on backend development using TypeScript and NodeJS.
• Proven experience with backend systems including NestJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, and modern JavaScript ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote-first, self-directed work environment with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with 3D file formats, cloud storage, and transmission of large 3D data payloads (bonus).
• Familiarity with digital dental design tools or CAD/CAM workflows in healthcare or manufacturing (bonus).
