📋 Description

• Senior Full Stack Engineer, Web and 3D Graphics at Dandy Technology, Inc. plays a pivotal role in modernizing the $200B dental industry by building the operating system for dental offices worldwide, enabling clinicians to deliver better patient outcomes through advanced technology.
• This role is critical to Dandy’s mission of transforming antiquated dental workflows into seamless, technology-driven processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate the quality of patient-matched restorations.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize the frontend architecture of world-class web applications supporting a robust suite of 3D design interactions, ensuring scalability and responsiveness across devices.
• Implement highly performant and responsive 3D rendering and interaction features using THREE.js, WebGL, and related technologies to deliver smooth, real-time visualization of complex dental models.
• Design and build intuitive and efficient user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) within the 3D application environment, focusing on usability for dental designers and technicians.
• Integrate frontend 3D tools with backend services, focusing on efficient data fetching, state management, and display of complex 3D data payloads from PostgreSQL and GraphQL APIs.
• Collaborate with CAD and Backend engineers to integrate C++ and WASM components into the web application, ensuring seamless performance and low-latency data exchange between native and web layers.
• Solve complex technical problems related to 3D graphics rendering, performance bottlenecks, and cross-browser compatibility, particularly in WebGL and WASM environments.
• Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices; actively participate in code reviews to uphold engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and rendering performance, contributing to a culture of continuous technical innovation.
• Own projects end-to-end from concept to production, including proposal, technical discussion, execution, observation, and maintenance, demonstrating leadership and accountability.
• Thrive in a remote-first, agile, and intensely iterative development environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and feedback loops.
• Communicate complex technical, architectural, and organizational challenges clearly and concisely to peers and stakeholders, driving consensus and iterative solutions.
• Leverage deep expertise in TypeScript, React, NodeJS, NestJS, GraphQL, and Google Cloud Platform to build and scale modern full-stack applications.
• Contribute to a global, remote CAD and 3D team that is pioneering the future of dental technology, working alongside passionate engineers and clinicians.
• Gain deep domain knowledge in digital dentistry and 3D graphics, positioning yourself at the intersection of healthcare innovation and advanced software engineering.
• Achieve mastery in high-performance 3D web applications, becoming a recognized expert in WebGL, THREE.js, and WASM integration for complex medical visualization.
• Grow as a technical leader by influencing architecture decisions, mentoring peers, and shaping engineering best practices across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend web development using TypeScript and React.
• Proven experience building and optimizing 3D applications using libraries like THREE.js, Babylon.js, or direct WebGL.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, state management (e.g., Redux), and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, execution, observation, and maintenance.
• Ability to thrive in a remote-first organization and work effectively in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• Effective communication skills: regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates on technical progress.
