📋 Description

• Senior Full-Stack Software Developer at Ruby Labs Ltd. is a pivotal role focused on building and maintaining high-performance, scalable consumer-facing applications across health, education, and entertainment sectors. This position directly contributes to the company’s mission of delivering innovative, user-centric products by translating design specifications into robust, production-ready code that ensures seamless user experiences and system reliability.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing responsive, accessible user interfaces using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, leveraging component libraries like HeroUI to ensure consistency and speed; building and optimizing backend services with Node.js and Nest.js, including designing efficient database schemas and writing scalable, maintainable server-side code; translating Figma or Visily design wireframes into pixel-perfect frontend implementations while adhering to accessibility (WCAG) and usability standards; collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers through agile workflows, participating in code reviews, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines to maintain code quality and accelerate delivery; continuously improving frontend and backend performance through profiling, lazy loading, caching strategies, and database query optimization; and mentoring junior developers by sharing best practices in TypeScript, component architecture, and backend service design.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern full-stack architectures, particularly in scaling React-based frontends with TypeScript and Nest.js backends, while gaining hands-on experience with design system integration, performance optimization at scale, and accessible UI development. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape frontend/backend contracts, influence architectural decisions, and grow into a technical leader within a product-driven environment that values impact over process.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, including 7+ years of total frontend experience.
• 3+ years of backend development experience using Node.js with Nest.js framework, including 5+ years of total backend experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing efficient queries and understanding database schema design for performance and scalability.
• Proven ability to translate design mockups from Figma or Visily into accurate, accessible, and responsive frontend implementations.
• Demonstrated experience working within structured design systems and building reusable, maintainable UI components.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, including accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and performance optimization techniques.
