ďż˝ Description
- • Join ION Group as a Senior Full Stack Software Developer and become the technical engine behind the financial-innovation products that power 40 % of the world’s largest companies. You will sit at the intersection of trading, analytics, and workflow automation, building systems that directly influence how our clients generate revenue and retain market dominance.
- • Work from one of our vibrant Italian hubs—Pisa, Roma, Milan, Turin, or Collecchio—within a multi-site development team that prizes curiosity, craftsmanship, and continuous learning. Every sprint you will collaborate with product managers, quants, UX designers, and fellow engineers in a flat, self-organized structure where your ideas travel from whiteboard to production in days, not quarters.
- • Own the end-to-end software lifecycle: from architecting resilient micro-services and crafting pixel-perfect React dashboards, to profiling JVM heaps at 3 a.m. when a trading desk in Singapore needs sub-millisecond latency. You will design, code, debug, and deploy; then measure, optimize, and repeat.
- • Champion performance and scalability. Our platforms process millions of market events per hour; shaving 50 ms off a critical path can unlock new business lines. You will refactor hot paths, tune GC, introduce reactive streams, and leverage asynchronous patterns to keep us ahead of the curve.
- • Elevate the team through mentorship and pair-programming. Run brown-bag sessions on functional programming in Java, lead code reviews that read like master classes, and coach junior developers to think in terms of domain-driven design and clean architecture.
- • Supervise the technical aspects of high-impact projects: translate epics into technical blueprints, estimate effort, mitigate risk, and ensure delivery meets both functional requirements and non-functional SLAs (99.99 % uptime, sub-second failover, GDPR compliance).
- • Act as the go-to investigator for production incidents. When a client reports a pricing anomaly, you will dive into distributed logs, replay Kafka topics, and craft targeted fixes—then feed lessons learned back into resilient test suites and chaos-engineering experiments.
- • Stay on the leading edge. Evaluate emerging stacks—be it Project Loom, WebAssembly, or vectorized SQL engines—and run proof-of-concepts that could cut infrastructure costs or open new product capabilities. Your recommendations shape our three-year technical roadmap.
- • Collaborate daily with product management to balance technical debt against feature velocity. You will negotiate scope, articulate trade-offs, and sometimes say “no” to safeguard system integrity—earning trust through transparency and data-driven rationale.
- • Contribute to a culture of psychological safety and rigorous engineering. Whether debating immutable infrastructure in stand-up or presenting a post-mortem to executives, you will model professionalism, respect, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
- • Enjoy variety: one week you might containerize a Spring Boot pricing engine with Testcontainers and Jenkins pipelines; the next you’ll pair with UX to wire a real-time React grid to a Node.js GraphQL gateway backed by MongoDB and Redis streams.
- • Influence beyond code. Your insights into concurrency models, functional paradigms, and cloud-native patterns will shape coding standards, architectural decision records, and hiring bar-raisers—leaving a lasting imprint on ION’s engineering DNA.
