📋 Description

• As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on Vanta's Vendor Risk Management team, you will drive complex technical projects that directly impact how businesses monitor and mitigate third-party security risks, playing a pivotal role in scaling a product that helps companies earn and prove trust in real time.
• You will lead the design and implementation of scalable systems for external attack surface scanning and security data pipelines, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous monitoring capabilities that empower customers to strengthen their vendor supply chain security.
• Your work will involve close collaboration with security researchers to rapidly integrate new threat detection techniques into production, translating cutting-edge security insights into robust, user-facing features that deliver measurable value to enterprise and startup clients alike.
• Day to day, you will architect and develop full-stack features using TypeScript and Go, balancing backend-heavy responsibilities with intuitive frontend experiences to create seamless user interactions within Vanta’s Trust Management Platform.
• You will mentor junior engineers, foster technical excellence, and contribute to Vanta’s inclusive engineering culture by promoting knowledge sharing, code quality, and sustainable development practices across distributed teams in London, SF, NYC, and beyond.
• You will make strategic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability, ensuring that systems evolve to meet growing customer demands while maintaining high standards of security, observability, and resilience.
• You will partner with product, security, and engineering stakeholders to define technical roadmaps for critical surface areas, enabling Vanta to stay ahead of emerging threats and scale its VRM product with confidence.
• You will help shape the future of continuous security monitoring by building 0→1 capabilities and optimizing large-scale systems, directly contributing to Vanta’s mission of making trust transparent and actionable for thousands of global customers.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of fullstack engineering experience with a strong emphasis on backend systems
• Proven experience in technical leadership roles, including leading complex projects or engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to build user-facing SaaS products for both startup and enterprise environments
• Experience with TypeScript and Go is a strong plus
• Background in or strong interest in security, particularly in areas like external attack surface monitoring or threat detection
