  • • Partner with senior leaders across G&A functions (Finance, Legal, People) to design and execute scalable hiring strategies aligned with BetterUp’s growth trajectory
  • • Serve as a strategic talent advisor to hiring managers and executives, leading proactive talent planning, role scoping, and calibration discussions
  • • Manage full-cycle recruiting for individual contributors through VP+ level roles, including confidential and executive-level searches
  • • Build inclusive, high-performing talent pipelines using creative sourcing, strong professional networks, and market intelligence
  • • Navigate shifting priorities and ambiguous situations with composure, fluidly context-switching between roles, functions, and stakeholder needs
  • • Leverage data and insights to optimize recruiting strategy, improve process efficiency, and influence hiring decisions across the organization
  • • Deliver a human-centered, non-transactional candidate experience that reflects BetterUp’s mission at every touchpoint
  • • Champion DEIB through intentional sourcing practices, assessment framework design, and interview team calibration
  • • Collaborate with People Ops, HRBPs, and Total Rewards to ensure seamless hiring and onboarding experiences
  • • Drive AI adoption in talent acquisition by identifying opportunities to improve pipeline quality, speed, and candidate experience through AI-powered workflows
  • • Build scalable AI-assisted recruiting processes for sourcing, screening, interview prep, and offer management that enhance human judgment rather than replace it
  • • Serve as a trusted advisor to recruiting leadership on responsible AI tool usage in hiring contexts
  • • Establish best practices for AI-augmented recruiting that balance automation with BetterUp’s human-centered culture
  • • Maintain fluency in AI tools and share discoveries openly to help define organizational best practices for AI in talent acquisition
  • • Operate with high autonomy in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment while maintaining strategic focus and stakeholder trust
  • • Navigate complex compensation conversations, including pre-IPO equity structures, to successfully close top-tier candidates
  • • Support broader business needs by flexibly extending recruitment efforts to additional functions as organizational demands evolve
  • • Contribute to refining and building recruiting processes, not just executing them, to scale talent acquisition sustainably
  • • Maintain deep familiarity with later-stage startup scaling challenges including headcount planning, leveling debates, and org design

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 4 years in-house at a growth-stage or later-stage tech company
  • • Demonstrated range across functions—G&A plus GTM or Product experience strongly preferred
  • • Proven ability to build trusted relationships quickly across all levels—from ICs to C-suite
  • • Strong business acumen; ability to translate functional needs into talent strategy and articulate tradeoffs to senior stakeholders
  • • Comfortable operating with high autonomy in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • • Experience closing candidates through complex compensation conversations including pre-IPO equity
