- • Design, implement, and maintain robust gameplay systems in Unity using C# for a mid-core, 3D mobile game from concept to live release.
- • Collaborate closely with designers and artists to translate creative vision into functional, polished gameplay features.
- • Design and implement modular, data-driven systems in Unity that support live configuration and dynamic content updates without code changes.
- • Interface directly with the backend engineering team to ensure seamless client-server communication and data synchronization.
- • Contribute to high-level architecture decisions for the game’s technical foundation, ensuring scalability from prototype to full production.
- • Take full ownership of features from initial concept through polish and launch, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with design goals.
- • Diagnose and resolve critical issues related to performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, crashes, and build size using Unity’s profiling and debugging tools.
- • Refactor and extend a large, established Unity codebase with minimal disruption, applying best practices for MonoBehaviours, ScriptableObjects, Prefabs, and Addressables.
- • Lead the expansion of the engineering team from pre-production to full production, helping to recruit, mentor, and guide junior developers.
- • Work autonomously while maintaining clear, consistent communication with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and art.
- • Participate in shaping the development workflow and technical standards for a new, ambitious gaming project with global ambitions.
- • Contribute to the creation of a live service mobile game that integrates with real-world economies and digital communities as part of Limit Break’s strategic vision.
- • Apply deep understanding of Unity’s engine lifecycle and mobile platform constraints to optimize for performance, battery life, and network efficiency.
- • Ensure all systems are built with maintainability and scalability in mind to support long-term updates, player growth, and live operations.
- • Help establish technical best practices and code quality standards for a growing team of engineers in a fast-paced, high-stakes development environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of professional experience in game development
- • 5+ years of professional experience working in Unity
- • Strong Unity and C# skills with deep understanding of the Unity engine lifecycle
- • Has shipped one or more live service mobile games using Unity
- • Confidently work within and refactor large, established Unity codebases
- • Proactive mindset with ownership of features from concept to polish
- • Strong understanding of Unity architecture including MonoBehaviours, ScriptableObjects, Prefabs, and Addressables
